2024 Region III Amateur Cup Qualifier

Hello Captains!
Congratulations on winning the right to represent your state in USASA Amateur Cup. The Cup is a very prestigious event and is the oldest amateur cup in the United States dating back to 1923.

Below is the history of Men’s Amateur Champions. Will your team make the list?
The USASA Region III Men’s Amateur Championship will be two groups of 4 teams. You will play inside your group; three matches and the group winners will advance to the Championship at 10:30am on Sunday.

There is a MANATORY captain’s meeting via Zoom Wednesday night and Thursday night. Your team captain, manager or state representative is expected to attend. Links for the calls will go out later today.

Sunday CHAMPIONSHIP – 10:30 AM

A few of the  basics.
• There is a maximum of 7 substitutions – No Re-Entry
• 3 points for the win,    1 point for a tie,       0 points for the loss
• Tie Breakers
• Head to Head
• Greatest Goal Differential (capped at 3 goals per match)
• Most Goals Scored (capped at 3 goals per match)
• Kicks From the Mark
• Regional Champions will receive airline tickets, lodging and ground transportation at the National Final Four where your team will compete to be • Crowned National Champion!
• Otey Smithson is the Region III Director and Jeanne Smith is the Deputy Director and will be serving as overall Tournament Director.
