After a hard-fought semi-final against Sin City FC where West Chester emerged victorious with a 3-2 win. They advanced to the finals to face Region II’s RWB Adria. As they faced Adria, West Chester managed to take an early lead, only to be answered twice and head into halftime down 2-1 to Adria. But West Chester refused to stop there as they landed an equalizer in the early minutes of the second half, and followed up around twenty minutes later to take the lead 3-2. Unfortunately for them, Adria scored their own equalizer in the final minutes of added time to send it into extra time. The match made it to the final minutes of extra time and was on the verge of being decided by penalty kicks when West Chester secured their champion title with a 4-3 win over RWB Adria.
Women’s Open Amateur Cup Champions
Pan World Elite
Taking home a dominant 6-1 semi-final win over Rochester Lazers, Pan World secured their spot in the Women’s final. Taking on Capital Pride, the game remained scoreless for the entire first half, despite both teams creating a few of their own chances. But that was short-lived as Pan World Elite scored early in the second half to take the lead. Capital Pride was unable to answer, and Pan World secured their victory with a second goal in the final minutes to make it a 2-0 win in the championship for the Utah team.
Over 30 Tournament of Regions Champions
1990 Queens FC
With no semis in the Over 30 division, 1990 Queens was set to face Cheshire SC from the beginnning. In the final, Queens was the first to score as they took a 1-0 lead late in the second half. They furthered their lead by scoring a second time halfway through the second half, leading 2-0 late into the game. Cheshire came back with a goal to cut down their deficit, but it was not enough to stop Queens from taking home a 2-1 win and the title.
Over 40 Tournament of Regions Champions
Atletico Torino
Atletico Torino won a close battle in the semis as they defeated Christos FC to pave their way to the Over 40 final. Facing Sporting TRFC in the final, Torino hit the ground running and took a 1-0 lead early in the first half. Took them some time to follow that up, but by the end of the first half they held a 2-0 lead over Sporting. They reentered in the second half strong and scored yet another goal to make it 3-0. However, TRFC found a way to get themselves a goal and stop the shutout. But their momentum was short-lived as Atletico had three more goals to deliver to emerge a dominant champion with a 6-1 win.
