El Farolito & Rochester Lazers Crowned 2026 National Amateur Cup Champions
El Farolito’s Journey to Champion
The men’s bracket kicked off on Friday morning as Lansdowne Yonkers faced Tar Devils SC and won 5-1, advancing our Region I representative to the final. Later that afternoon, El Farolito faced Region II’s Chicago House AC and won 2-0, moving on to face Lansdowne Yonkers in Saturday’s final match.
After a hard fought match that went into extra time, El Farolito claimed the title with a 3-1 victory.
Additionally on the men’s side, Chicago House AC won the third place match after defeating Tar Devils SC 4-2.
Rochester Lazers’s Journey to Champion
The women’s tournament took on a unique format this year as the Region III representative dropped out and left the remaining teams to play in a round robin structure.
The first match of the weekend was played between Region I’s Rochester Lazers and Region II’s Milwaukee Torrent. Lazers took home their first win 1-0 over Torrent.
The second match was between Rochester and Region IV’s two-time champion, Pan World Elite. In a very even match, the two teams tied 2-2, leaving the fate in the hands of the weekend’s final match.
To round out the weekend, the third match for the women’s side was between Torrent and Pan World where Milwaukee defeated Pan World 3-0, making Rochester Lazers our champion and Milwaukee Torrent our finalist.
